How we deliver Prevent training
Prevent Awareness Raising Session
We can cater for any size audience to deliver Prevent awareness raising sessions.
Sessions can be from a minimum of 1 hour to a full day, whatever suits the clients needs and budget. Half day/Full day can combine both a Prevent awareness session and a workshop to embed the understanding of Prevent.
The content of whatever type of session you choose will be geared towards the audiences specific job roles in order to achieve an understanding and relevance.
You tell us what you need and we will prepare a bespoke session/workshop to meet your organisations needs.
Scenarios based on real life 'anonymised' cases designed to encourage discussion and team building around the very sensitive subject of extremism and terrorism.
The aim of the workshop exercise is to empower individuals with both a knowledge and a confidence to take back into their work place. But also, to understand the importance of decision making processes and multi-agency working, to be able to manage a concern and problem solve around such a complex and at times, controversial, topic.
The groups decisions and their actions may have a significant impact on the outcome of the scenario. The workshop aims to demonstrate to the audience the difficulties faced, not only by Police & Security Services, but by statutory partners, voluntary groups, charities and the public and how they can play a vital role when safeguarding from radicalisation.
Consultation / Advice
These sessions can address a number of areas specific to individual organisations when addressing their compliance with the Prevent Duty and could be more role specific, ie., Head Teacher, Governor, Designated Safeguarding Lead, Channel Practitioner etc.
'Virtual' Training Sessions
The unprecedented situation of the Coronavirus Pandemic changed the way that society as a whole operated, in particular the education sector.
Following Government guidance, our 'face to face' training would no longer be the most feesible format and therefore, to offer continued support to colleagues in education, industry and sport, the sessions have been adapted and developed allowing entry into the 'Virtual Training Classroom'.
Our continued approach is to offer bespoke sessions to meet the individual needs of each client and it is recommended that direct discussions prior to booking any session, take place with trainers Peter and Sharon.
